Des and Les

Des & Les have existed for nearly 20 years. (Thus the are probably NZ's longest running comedy duo, so they must be doing something right.)

The first 8 of those years, Des and Les were actually known as "The Golden Holdens".

Des and Les are in fact not Des & Les but:

Alan Reid father of one, ex-professional tennis coach, youth worker, property developer, business entrepreneur and operations manager at Youthtown in downtown Auckland.

Bruce Hopkins father of three, ex-fisherman, Limbs Dance Co. dancer, Mercury Theatre actor, currently a freelance actor (credits include "Gamling" in Lord of the Rings, Savage Honeymoon, Jubilee, Spin Doctors, Lawless 1, 2 & 3, Mercy Peak etc), voice artist and professional emcee.

Having been friends from the age of 14, Des & Les were urged by others to take their brand of interactive humour beyond the living room of Bruce's apartment and out into the world. Thus, Des and Les were born.
They now have almost 20 years experience as each half of the duo that is them. D & L (as they are known to their mates), have performed at a huge varity of events and locations in both New Zealand and Australia.

Examples of Des & Les' work are:
Their "top rating" nationally broadcast, Sunday evening talkback radio show on Newstalk ZB, from 9pm to midnight, "The Sunday Roast with Des and Les".
