Russell Harrison

Russell Harrison is a talented singer who has sung with (amongst others) The Drifters and the late Sir Howard Morrison. He is also a very professional and affable MC.

From taking the stage at the tender age of 9, Russell Harrison has become one of the most recognised entertainers in New Zealand.

 Predominantly recognised as a soul and R'n'B singer he has built a diverse portfolio of performances that include:

  • Musicals (West Side Story / Rock Nativity / Grease / Oklahoma / Ali Baba & the 40 Thieves - alongside Rob Guest
  • Film (What Becomes of the Broken Hearted / Mt Zion)
  • Television (Lotto Presenter/Singing Bee)
  • Major Events (Xmas in the Park / Wgtn 7's/World Shearing Champs/Lakeside 2008)
  • Corporate Clients (Vodafone/Telecom/Team NZ/NZ Rugby/Steinlager/Peugeot/Mercedes Benz)
  • International Performances (Samoa/Fiji/Hawaii/Kuala Lumpur/ Singapore/Shanghai/Hong Kong)

He performs regularly with his own group The Brown Brothers whose focus is a tribute to soul music..The Howard Morrison Trio - dedicated to the music of New Zealand's greatest entertainer Sir Howard Morrison..& The Hit Men - a group specifically focused on the music of the Rat Pack & Motown..as well as regularly working with Nz"s best vocalists and performers.

He organises and delivers events; regularly features as a voice over for ads; is a well-known Master of Ceremonies at events throughout NZ; has acted in NZ Films (What Becomes of the Broken Hearted / Mt Zion); has released his own "covers" album called Reflections and most recently has added travelling the world performing on Cruise Ships as part of his portfolio.

Russell has a range of upcoming projects but recently has focused on releasing recorded material.
