He has twice won Best comedy performer at the NZ Film and Television Awards. His series ‘Pio’ has won best Comedy programme, and despite being the subject of much debate, his show ‘Te Tutu' is one of New Zealand On Air's highest rating comedy programmes. As well as his role in front of camera, Pio has had a great deal of experience in all areas of television production. He has been a successful company director, programme creator and performer for 'Pipi Productions' a company with many accolades in the New Zealand Television Entertainment industry.
