Former Maori All Black and NZ Sevens Rugby Captain, Matua is also a commentator on Maori Televisions "Code" . Owner of the most famous dreads in rugby.

Matua is a familiar face on the rugby field & in the community. Having balanced a professional rugby career, business interests and a young family over the last 15 years, he currently presents New Zealand's only reality Hunting show called Hunting Aotearoa. He also serves his community as a valued member of the Bay of Plenty District Health Board.

The Founder of the Parkinson Charitable Trust, Matua is a respected & sought after public speaker. He delivers in a down to earth approach & helps groups or individuals increase confidence & use personal power to activate their ideal life. His mantra is “Family First”.

Matua's speaking engagemnets range form Fortune 500 compaines to Government agencies, often receiving standing ovations. He is a frequent media guest & has been interviewd on every national network. He was an original co-presenter on the award winning sports show CODE for 5 years.

Matua created Dynamic Dyslexicon an educational program teaching educators, caregivers and parents how to support & extend dyslexic learners.

Matua has lived in Tauranga for over 18 years, is married to Cheri & together they have 3 young sons. Matua is a keen outdoorsman & believes in living a fit & healthy lifestyle.
