Simon Dallow

Well known TV personality and presenter, Simon also works with the Variety Club of New Zealand.

After completing his legal studies, Simon Dallow practiced as a litigation lawyer in Auckland before embarking on his OE. He was en route to London as the 1987 stock market crash hit, causing him to change careers when an immediate future in bankruptcy law failed to appeal.
Tourism beckoned, and Simon spent the next six years as a freelance tour director, sharing his passion for things European with thousands of tourists from around the world.
Since returning to New Zealand in 1993, Simon has been employed by TVNZ as a newsreader for One News, and has presented programmes across TVNZ’s news and current affairs stable.
Married in 1996 to “Breakfast” host Alison Mau, the couple have two small children, and live in Auckland.
Simon now fronts a weekly current affairs programme called ‘Agenda’ on Saturday morning in which newsmakers set the agenda for the following week and looks at the way those issues are covered by the NZ media and the media in general. The programme focuses on the big decisions and issues that confront New Zealand --- particularly in politics and business.
Simon considers himself an “average Kiwi bloke”, and is passionately interested in sports and current affairs. He has almost accepted he will never make the All Blacks.
