Terry Williams

Terry Williams is an experienced Master of Ceremonies, Speaker, Trainer, Entertainer and Comedian.

Terry is a clever, business savvy speaker on engaging employees – how to attract, develop and retain talent. With a background in comedy, he is also an excellent and entertaining MC, trainer, facilitator and entertainer.

As a speaker specialising in people engagement, Terry Williams has twice spoken to an audience of 4500 in Singapore and recently to over 6000 in a NZ-wide roadshow for a large bank about building winning teams.

He is the author of ‘The Brain-Based Boss’ & ‘The Guide: How to kiss, get a job and other stuff you need to know,’ as well as columnist for ‘Employment Today’ magazine and regular contributor to the Careers section of ‘The NZ Herald.’

His informative, memorable and energising presentations to business, professional and community groups receive rave reviews. Terry's style is interactive, with the use of entertainment to keep the sessions flowing and memorable, holding your audience's concentration and improve their recall of key information.

As a trainer, Terry specialises in the delivery of high impact, customised training solutions for businesses that are serious about improving the performance of their people and increasing their influence. As a trainer facilitating learning and development in others, he often finds himself drawing on his own extensive business experience. From being a senior manager in a high-pressure and politically-charged operation with dozens of staff and million-dollar-plus budgets to running his own comedy production company, he understands the real people issues that face real leaders in the real world.

As an MC, you can trust Terry to drive your conference, event or team gathering towards your goals, reinforcing your messages and facilitating networking. Terry can present and MC and provide evening comedy entertainment. With that rare mix of an extensive business background as well as comedy ‘chops’, he can tweak his performance to suit any occasion – from hosting V8 races to facilitating networking amongst a collegial bunch of professionals in-between drinks to running hilarious gameshows for international wine tasters to conducting academic panels to introducing Cabinet Ministers at formal functions and so much more.

Many events spend more on table settings than on their MC but how many events owe their success to the table settings? Invest in a professional.

Testimonials:

“Terry is a delight. His energy and enthusiasm is contagious and his presentation hit the perfect note for our conference. He had the audience in the palm of his hand whilst sharing some great insights and nuggets of truth for everyone to take away. I would absolutely recommend Terry as a Key Note speaker” – Susan Doughty, RemNet

"Great feedback from delegates regarding your presentation, rating 4.8 for facilitation out of a maximum of 5.0 (which I might add I’ve never seen delegates rate up to!)" – Diane Robinson, RemNet

"Terry presented in a humorous manner very imperative information for business managers/leaders to use in their workplaces, to influence those people around them. 83% of attendees (senior finance managers) rated Terry as excellent." – Megan Alexander, GM, Robert Half International

“WEX are an IT Company who have experienced phenomenal growth and the challenges it presents. Terry presented a seminar on Change, and provided insights into the different personality types that make up the office environment. Presented with more than a touch of humour overlaying a serious message, the office was alive and buzzing afterwards.” – Simone Turin, WEX

"We, as a team, enjoyed your honest, practical and straightforward (yet impactful and valuable) presentation (and training)......not to mention the wonderful humour." - Shimrath Paul, Chief Executive, Otago Museum

"Your seminar helped transform our company in terms of building and keeping an effective team. I am a chronic sceptic of business seminars and the slightly evangelical feel that many of them have.  Your presentation was focused on practical ideas from the real world, and all the better for it." - Kevin Townsend, CEO, KeedUp.com

"Terry Williams provides some lovely comic moments throughout his time at the microphone, pulling laughs by chatting about his family life and his mid-life crisis trip to an Indonesian jungle away from civilization. He is very much at home on the stage, and from his entrance it is like watching an old friend: lovely jubbly, as Del Boy would say" - Regan Crummer, Reviewer, NZ International Comedy Festival, THE SECRET POLICEMAN'S BALL 2014 Stand Up For Human Rights, presented by AMNESTY INTERNATIONAL
